The Senate adjourned this week for its August recess and is currently scheduled to be back in session the week of September 13. The House likewise is in recess, although lawmakers in that chamber will return to Capitol Hill for a brief work session the week of August 23 to take up the $3.5 trillion budget resolution that recently cleared the Senate.
Barring any significant developments on the tax policy front, the next issue of Tax News & Views will be published the week of August 23.
