Revisions to Multistate Tax Commission’s Multi-State Voluntary Disclosure Program Procedures, Multistate Tax Commission, Nexus Committee (11/22). To “simplify and align” the Multistate Tax Commission’s (MTC’s) multistate voluntary disclosure program (MVDP) procedures with its current operating practices, the MTC’s Nexus Committee recently approved updates that reflect a movement towards electronic communication between taxpayers, MTC Nexus Program staff, and participating states – including how participating taxpayers may sign underlying agreements, register, file returns, and make tax payments electronically. Other updates include adding more MVDP eligibility details, as well as taxing jurisdiction-specific MVDP procedures applicable for the District of Columbia, Michigan, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Texas.
